The Aushorse Golden Horseshoe series has really captured the imagination of owners and trainers in Singapore and Aushorse announced last week, in conjunction with the Singapore Turf Club, that it would continue sponsorship of the series into 2017 and 2018.

The series – for 2YOs – offers valuable bonuses for Australian-bred and sold horses, with the three lead up races culminating in the Group Two Aushorse Golden Horseshoe final in July.

This year the series unveiled classy sprinter, Jupiter Gold, who won two heats for trainer Hideyuki Takaoka, while another highlight was Steve Burridge’s Macarthur.

Staged in partnership with co-sponsors, Magic Millions, Inglis and IRT, there are S$10,000 bonuses available to connections of qualified horses in the final three heats of the six race series, while the final carries an extra S$50,000 bonus.

In 2017, the series has been enhanced with the announcement that Australian bred horses sold at Australian 2YO sales are now also eligible to win these bonuses for connections.

Significantly, the vast majority of horses being offered at tomorrow’s Inglis Ready 2 Race Sale (4 October) and the Magic Millions Gold Coast 2YOs in Training Sale (11-12 October) will be eligible for the series bonuses.

“Aushorse and our partners Magic Millions, Inglis and IRT are pleased to work with the Singapore Turf Club and sponsor this series again,” said Aushorse chief executive Tom Reilly. “The Golden Horseshoe series rewards buyers in Singapore who come to Australia to source our tough, precious horses. There has been no better advertisement for the series than 2015 winner Super One, who is proving very popular in his new role as a stallion at Newgate Farm.”
