With a small field, the two standout favourites Funstar and Probabeel will go head to head again in the Darley Flight Stakes tomorrow at Randwick.

It was a nail biting finish at the Two Tea Rose stakes, with Funstar nosing ahead of Libertini and Probabeel at the finishing post. There is a good chance the Flight Stakes might be just as close in the last 300m.

“That was a top run by Funstar in the Tea Rose…I spoke to both Chris and (jockey) James McDonald after the race and each of them agreed she wouldn’t have won if she wasn’t as good as she is…Based on her run in the Tea Rose, you’d have to think Funstar will go close in the Flight.” – Olly Koolman

It’s an exciting day tomorrow for trainer Chirs Waller and the owners of Funstar, who also have half-sister Youngstar running later in the day in the Sky Racing Active Hill Stakes.

Purchased for a steal at $80,000 from Bowness Stud at the 2018 Easter Inglis Sales Draft, you can learn more about the stories of Funstar and Youngstar here.
