Discover The Best Bloodstock

Anyone participating in an Australian thoroughbred sale can have confidence in the product offered. Most major breeders in Australia sell their stock at public auction, giving buyers an opportunity to access the best families in the stud book. This is reflected in the number of Australian-bred Group One winners that were available to buy as yearlings. There is also the chance to source quality breeding prospects. With top racehorses often owned by large groups, the best race fillies and mares often go to auction at the end of their track careers. Best of all, there are no restrictions on international buyers and anybody can become an owner in Australia.

Thoroughbred sales are conducted across Australia by two auction houses, Inglis and Magic Millions. The yearling sale season runs from January through to June, with weanlings and mares also offered in May and June. Additional online sales are held on a monthly basis, offering mixed catalogues.

With outstanding clearance rates and exceptional value, we are excited to invite potential buyers to Australia for the upcoming yearling sales. Below, you’ll find a detailed list of sales dates, but be sure to note these key dates:

January 13-18th – Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale
March 1-3rd – Inglis Premier Sale
