Adam Tims

Adam holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Melbourne, is a member of and also holds a Practicing Certificate with the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Adam is also the company secretary and treasurer of Thoroughbred Breeders Australia.

He has approx. 25 years’ experience in the equine industry from a business management and taxation perspective. His clients, both nationally and internationally, consist of horse owners, breeders, studs, syndicates, trainers, and jockeys etc. An avid racegoer and horse owner, Adam is a member of the Melbourne Racing Club, the Victorian Racing Club and Thoroughbred Club of Australia.

Adam has written a large number of tax and accounting articles for horse industry publications and newspapers including the Financial Review and has appeared on talkback radio and various podcasts regarding tax and business matters relating to the horse industry. He is obviously passionate about the industry and believes that the most important issue is developing a unified voice for the industry across states and sectors and to attract new participants.
