Classic Tale Of Stakes Success

The release of the 2016 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale catalogue online sees a slightly different format with an opening night session followed by two full days of selling, with a total 575 yearlings catalogued.

So far this season, nine graduates of the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale have won a combined twelve stakes races, with Group 1 Underwood Stakes winner Mourinho being the highlight. For a combined purchase price of under $400,000, the season’s nine stakes winners have returned their connections in excess of $3 million.

Group 1 winners Brazen Beau (I Am Invincible), Peggy Jean (Myboycharlie), Secret Admirer (Dubawi), Whobegotyou (Street Cry) and Choisir (Danehill Dancer) all found buyers at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, testament to the quality that can be secured at the sale.

“Buyers will find an exceptional variety on offer at Classic this year, from precocious two-year-olds and sprinting greats to Derby types and Classic performers, all by a great selection of sires,” said Inglis National Bloodstock Director Jonathan D’Arcy

Many of Australasia’s leading thoroughbred nurseries have again thrown their support behind the sale, including Widden Stud (41), Bhima Thoroughbreds (24), Vinery Stud (22), Arrowfield Stud (18), Emirates Park (17), Yarraman Park Stud (16), Middlebrook Valley Lodge (16), Sledmere Stud (16), Fairview Park Stud (16), Amarina Farm (14), Bowness Stud (14),Turangga Farm (13), Rosemont Stud (13), Riversdale (13), Murrulla Stud (13), Fairhill Farm (12), Southern Cross Breeders (11), Manx Park (11), Rheinwood Pastoral Co (11), Torryburn Stud (10) and Goodwood Farm (10).
