Breaking his maiden at Greyville in South Africa on Wednesday was Bernardini (USA) three year-old Team Guys, a $50,000 Inglis Classic purchase for Heritage Bloodstock from the Amarina Farm draft.
Prepared by Charles Laird, Team Guys strode clear to win by two lengths over 1600 metres ending a frustrating run of minor placings.
Team Guys is the first winner for stakes-placed Silver Ghost mare Coffee Shop (USA), who has foaled this spring producing a filly by Star Witness.
